DESCRIPTION:La exposición pone en diálogo dos de los ejemplos de transformación de bloques de vivienda construidos en los 60 y 70 en Europa\, más relevantes y ganadores del Premio de Arquitectura Contemporánea de la Unión Europea — Premio Mies van der Rohe.   \n A partir de estos ejemplos presentados mediante fotografías\, textos\, maquetas y vídeos\, se relacionan mediante una línea temporal\, otros proyectos de características similares que fueron derribados. Otros ejemplos de vivienda colectiva construidos más recientemente se presentan con maquetas y dos textos\, uno de Francis Rambeft y otro de Josep Maria Montaner y Zaida Muxí sirven para introducir el tema y seguir el hilo narrativo de la exposición.  \nTal y como escriben Josep Maria Montaner y Zaida Muxí\, «En general\, se estudian ejemplos emblemáticos de complejos de viviendas colectivas a gran escala en el momento en que se proyectaron\, construyeron e inauguraron\, pero muy poco se ha estudiado y escrito sobre cómo evolucionó y se adaptó cada uno de estos edificios\, para saber cuál era realmente su legado. Las casas son para vivir\, y su mantenimiento y capacidad de adaptación es esencial. Por lo tanto\, la clave del progreso radica en cómo y qué podemos aprender de la experiencia.   \n La vivienda colectiva moderna es patrimonio vivo\, por eso es importante conocer sus transformaciones y apropiaciones; para comprender cuáles han sido las cualidades de construcción y las instalaciones de remodelación». A partir de esta reflexión\, la exposición permite debatir sobre estos bloques de vivienda que se encuentran en la mayor parte de ciudades europeas\, cómo lidiar con ellos para mejorar las condiciones de vida de sus habitantes y a la vez hacerlo viendo ejemplos de bloques de vivienda colectiva de nueva planta construidos en los últimos años.  \n La exposición muestra dos proyectos ejemplares por su transformación con el objetivo de mejorar la calidad de vida de sus habitantes\, teniendo en cuenta a cada uno de ellos.  Además\, permite un marco de encuentro en el que abordar propuestas concretas sobre el acceso a la vivienda\, a partir de ejemplos concretos que pueden ser copiados; adaptándolos a los contextos concretos de cada lugar.  \n Hace tres años\, la renovación de uno de los edificios de apartamentos más grandes de los Países Bajos\, llamado Kleiburg\, recibió el Premio de Arquitectura Contemporánea de la Unión Europea — Premio Mies van der Rohe 2017. El Premio nunca había sido ganado por un proyecto de vivienda colectiva hasta entonces. Hace solo un año\, un grupo diferente de miembros del jurado decidió otorgar el Premio 2019 a la transformación de tres bloques de viviendas sociales en Burdeos.   \n En ambos casos\, los edificios existentes pertenecían a la ola de construcción masiva que ocurrió en la década de 1960 en las ciudades europeas. Son dos sobrevivientes exitosos que escaparon de la bola de demolición. DESCRIPTION:El objetivo es comunicar las acciones de regeneración comunitaria del Barrio del Cementerio\, llevadas a cabo durante 2021\, y descubrir los recursos presentes en el territorio a diferentes niveles. A través de las voces de las personas que trabajan directamente con el programa Asertos\, tanto vecinales como técnicas\, se busca una conexión con entidades sociales\, públicas y privadas que puedan estar interesadas por la situación social del barrio\, poniendo el foco en la administración pública local y autonómica. También interesa una puesta en valor a nivel internacional\, escala presente desde el inicio del desarrollo del proyecto a través de la asociación francesa Quatorze y de la participación al proyecto europeo PASI (Erasmus+).  \nPresentación del documental el día 2 de junio de 2022\, en las instalaciones Puerta Ferrisa de la Agencia Local de Desarrollo Económico y Social del Ayuntamiento de Alicante (Impulsalicante). El evento se articula alrededor de la presentación y proyección pública del trabajo documental grabado en el Barrio del Cementerio\, acompañando al programa Asertos de regeneración comunitaria de zonas vulneradas. Se buscarán espacios de interacción entre las personas del barrio\, entidades sociales y administraciones públicas\, mediante una mesa redonda y momentos de intercambio informal.  \nEl evento estará compuesto de las siguientes partes:  \n\n Recepción del evento e inscripción de las personas asistentes. SUMMARY:Climate-neutral housing - Decarbonizing the housing stock in an inclusive and affordable way
DESCRIPTION:12:30 to 16:00 EEST (Helsinki time)  \nBuildings have the largest potential for improving energy efficiency and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. Decarbonizing the housing stock is very costly and creates a financial burden on inhabitants\, often causing “energy poverty” among lower-income population. In the UNECE region\, which includes most of the “rich” countries in the world\, almost 42 million face arrears on their utility bills and more than 52 million people cannot keep their homes adequately warm. There is a need for implementing large-scale housing renovation programmes that are affordable for all. Such programmes are essential to meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement and related SDGs.    \nThis workshop is a side event to the International Social Housing Festival. It aims to present the UNECE-Housing Europe-UN-Habitat study “#Housing2030: Effective policies for affordable housing in the UNECE region” containing a toolkit on affordable climate-neutral housing to demonstrate its use in mitigating potential negative social impacts of decarbonization strategies on vulnerable sections of society\, particularly young people.    \nIt will also support the regional exchange of experiences and good practices in countries of the UNECE region on promoting access to decent\, adequate\, affordable and healthy housing as part of the countries’ responses to\, and recovery plans for the COVID-19 pandemic (this will include the topics of “greening” cities and housing\, using architectural and urban planning solutions and innovations to promote a better quality of life\, etc).  \nThe #Housing2030 study and an online platform at www.housing2030.org were launched on 6 October 2021 at the UNECE Housing Ministerial Meeting. The story is coming from a person who has depth experience of Tsunami Recovery Project Implementation in 2004\, involved and worked for ITS and ADB ETESP PPC. 18 years after the program implementation\, the change and continuity of housing design concept and building are also discussed and reviewed after Aceh Tsunami disaster.  \nIAI for East Java contributes best practice of housing design proposal for building recovering process when Lumajang district of East Java suffered for Semeru Mountain Eruption on 4 Dec 2021. It has damaged at least more than 5\,000 homes and several public buildings. IAI proposed housing design concept as ‘Healing Home’ which has the quality of affordable and sufficient floor area\, spatial requirement and specification\, safety and efficiency on building materials\, and structure. Lumajang Regent has issued Regulation that the building design has meet the minimum design requirements proposed by IAI for East Java. The concept proposed is used by ITS as one of the NGO’s Donor and adopts the IAI’s Design guidelines for the first implementation project. Busca solidificar los objetivos establecidos con el ‘Foro Internacional UIA 2022’: establecer puntos de referencia a largo plazo\, fortalecer redes y alianzas globales\, y obtener el máximo apoyo de organizaciones\, gobiernos\, entidades e instituciones hacia soluciones a los desafíos de asequibilidad de la vivienda\, así como promover sinergias que permitan desarrollar proyectos y estrategias integrales. El resultado esperado es un mayor intercambio de conocimientos\, promoción generada y alianzas fortalecidas con partes interesadas globales relacionadas con la vivienda asequible.  \nEl acto está organizado conjuntamente por el Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España (CSCAE) y OnCities 2030. DESCRIPTION:El objetivo de este III Congreso Nacional de Vivienda es definir cuáles son los retos de la sociedad para poder satisfacer el derecho constitucional del acceso a la vivienda y los obstáculos que existen en la actualidad para que las nuevas generaciones accedan a una vivienda digna. Además\, se abordarán todas las cuestiones que surjan en los próximos meses a raíz de los “Fondos Europeos de Recuperación” y las nuevas leyes previstas que afectarán al sector de la vivienda. \nEl congreso contará con la participación de urbanistas\, sociólogos\, arquitectos\, los más destacados miembros de los sectores vinculados al residencial y la administración pública\, para reflexionar sobre las preferencias actuales de los consumidores y las nuevas formas de vivir. \nSe debatirá sobre la carencia de suelo\, las trabas burocráticas y las consecuencias por los retrasos en la concesión de licencias\, la necesidad de la colaboración público-privada para el acceso a una vivienda asequible\, a la falta de un parque de viviendas de alquiler o una revisión amplia de las líneas de actuación que han adoptado otros países para solventar estos obstáculos.

DESCRIPTION:ABA’s proposal reinstates the block and street pattern that characterised this archetypal 19th C London ‘suburb’ before its post-war redevelopment. A new inner block mews draws pedestrians and vehicles into what was previously an isolated and under-used ‘green space’ between existing slab blocks and acts as a spine connecting the two new developments. Ely Court was conceived as four building types\, each of a different scale and organisation responding to its specific locale. The four storey Terrace and the Flatiron Building each offer strong new street frontages to Chichester Road. The Terrace\, Mews and Flatiron Blocks frame a new public garden square in front of Canterbury Court. This open space was formerly underused and now provides park space\, framed by four generations of architecture. The Mews shares its surface\, with new street trees.  \nThe intention of the regeneration is to re-integrate the Estate into the wider South Kilburn neighbourhood\, create a sense of place\, by replacing existing poor quality\, single tenure 1960s building stock\, with high quality\, mixed tenure\, developments demonstrating architectural excellence and diverse communities.  \nThe four building types have all been designed to provide exceptionally high quality\, bright and spacious units. Areas generally exceed space standards. The floor to ceiling height is exceptionally generous at 2.6m throughout the scheme and all windows are full floor to ceiling height. The fenestration consists mainly French doors\, with their accompanying sense of light\, space and quality.  \n  \nThe buildings act as an interpretation of the 19th C mansion blocks of neighbouring Maida Vale\, but with 2 storey maisonettes on the ground floor. The maisonettes are typically interspersed with communal entrances that provide access to apartments above; via double height entrances with perforated brick screens. The facades are animated with front porticoes and recessed balconies\, resulting in highly articulated\, rhythmic facades.  \nThe scheme aimed to be delivered within traditional construction techniques and looks to make best use of a simple material palette which is durable and low maintenance\, but that also communicate long term values for generations to come. The structural frame is made of pre-fabricated hollowcore slabs supported by blockwork. The frame is externally finished with a Dutch brick laid in a running bond. Composite windows have been used throughout allowing for a warmer internal finish in natural timber. Fenestration is generally double leaf and full height which open in the form of a Juliette balconies. Metalwork is found in the form of painted balustrades to all balconies and railings at ground floor. The 2 storey porticoes\, are framed in steel and clad with darker coloured aluminium\, in contrast to the light sandy brickwork.  \nThe total cost of this project was £13.75m. The income from the sale of the private sale homes has been used to cross-subsidise the affordable housing.
