Urban design

The way cities are designed and built has a significant impact on urban sustainability, inclusion, and safety. They also condition the provision of sufficient land for housing, the location of services and facilities, and adequate and affordable housing construction. On the other hand, the quality and safety of construction, both of housing buildings and public space, are determined in part by regulations and codes and can have a significant impact on the cost of construction and the administrative processes required for the construction and habitability of spaces.
