William O. Rodríguez

Secretary of Housing, Puerto Rico

Rodríguez holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the UPR and a Juris doctorate from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. He is an attorney and notary public admitted in the jurisdiction of Puerto Rico with more than ten years of experience in governmental affairs and civil litigation. He excelled in the Public Policy and Extraordinary Remedies Division of the Department of Justice.  

In 2010 he began working as an executive assistant at the Puerto Rico Public Housing Administration. In 2017 he was appointed deputy administrator of the Public Housing Administration, and since 2019, he has served as its Administrator. He has been in charge of the administration of the second most extensive public housing system in the American nation. Among his achievements is the reengineering of processes within the PHA and its automation, resulting in greater efficiency in the disbursement of federal funds.
