RECONCILING THE GREEN DEAL & THE RIGHTTO HOUSING

Dear colleagues,

We would like to invite you to a discussion focused on how the Recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings (EPBD) can be a catalyst for positive social impact, in an event kindly hosted by MEP Marcos Ros Sempere (S&D).

As you are probably already aware, the negotiations for an improved EPBD are entering their last phase. Housing Europe, the European Federation of Public, Social, Cooperative Housing is committed to contribute to a fair energy transition as illustrated by our ambition to renovate 4 million homes by 2030. Central to the success of this ambition will be the existence of an adequate legal and financial framework at EU level.

There will also be an exchange of best practices from the sector and a series of policy recommendations from the capacity building programme of the European Affordable Housing Initiative we are leading to highlight the relationship between positive social impact and green renovations.
You can find more information on the content, speakers, and registration in the enclosed invitation. Please note that places are limited.

Let us know if you have any questions and looking forward to seeing you there.

Kind regards,

Sorcha Edwards
Secretary-General
Housing Europe
